City Sender is a platform for comparing and booking couriers. With Klarna, you book your shipment today and split the cost into three instalments, with no interest. Klarna pays City Sender, and you pay Klarna back in instalments.
How do the 3 instalments work?
- Compare couriers and fill in your booking as usual.
- At payment, choose Klarna and complete the application on Klarna's page.
- The first instalment is charged to your card when you book.
- The second and third instalments are charged automatically to the same card, after 30 and 60 days.
Example: a €90 booking
- Today
- €30
- In 30 days
- €30
- In 60 days
- €30
- Total
- €90, no interest
Who can pay with Klarna?
- The option appears for shipments of €70 or more.
- You need a debit or credit card. Prepaid cards aren't accepted.
- Klarna decides whether to approve each purchase. City Sender isn't involved in the approval.

Are there interest charges or hidden fees?
No, as long as you pay each instalment on time. You pay the total amount you saw at booking, just in three parts.
If an instalment isn't paid
If the card charge fails, Klarna tries again. If the instalment stays unpaid, Klarna may charge late fees. Make sure your card is active and has enough funds on the payment dates.
Where can I see my instalments?
In the Klarna app or your Klarna account. That's where you see when each instalment is due, and where you can change your card. Klarna also sends you email reminders. Questions about your instalments go to Klarna. Questions about your shipment go to City Sender.
What happens if I cancel my shipment?
You cancel the same way as with any other payment method: before the courier collects the parcel, by sending a request through the contact form. Once City Sender confirms the cancellation, it refunds the amount through Klarna within 15 days. Klarna then refunds whatever you've already paid and adjusts the instalments still to come. See how to cancel a shipment and when you get your money back.
Do coupons and CityPoints still apply?
Yes. The coupon or CityPoints discount comes off first, and then Klarna splits the final amount into instalments. If you have an account, you still earn 2% in CityPoints towards your next shipment. See how CityPoints work.
