Before you ship

How do I print and attach the shipping label?

Short answer

You receive the shipping label by email after booking. Print it and stick it firmly on the top of the parcel, where it can be seen clearly. If you're sending several parcels, put one label on each. No printer? Print it at a print shop or at a friend's.

The shipping label is the barcoded label the courier scans to collect and deliver your parcel. It must be printed and attached to the parcel before the courier arrives.

How do I get it?

Once your booking is complete, City Sender emails the shipping label to the sender. If you can't find it, check your spam folder too.

How do I attach it?

  1. Print the shipping label.
  2. Remove or cover any old labels and barcodes on the packaging.
  3. Stick it on the top of the parcel, where it can be seen clearly.
  4. Secure it firmly with clear tape around the edges, or put it in a clear adhesive pouch. Don't put tape over the barcode.
  5. If the file includes other documents, print them and hand them to the driver at collection.

Several parcels in one shipment

Each parcel needs its own shipping label. Make sure you've put the right label on each parcel.

No printer?

Forward the email to a print shop or to someone who has a printer. The label must be printed before collection.

Common mistake

Old labels or barcodes left on the box. They can confuse the courier and delay your shipment.
